Am I eligible for finance?

Your application will be assessed and you will receive an instant approval or refusal of credit. 

All loans are subject to status and you must be at least 18 years old and a permanent resident in the UK. Customers from outside the UK cannot apply for finance.

What is the best finance deal I can get on my order?

On every product page you can open the Finance Calculator popup box. On the finance page you can choose from 2 finance and deposit options to instantly calculate the monthly repayment amount. You choose how much deposit to pay, from 5 and 10%. Please note that these options just give an indication of the finance deals available. You make your final decision on which finance package you would like at the application stage of our checkout.

How do I checkout using Finance?

It's simple! Just add the products you want to your Basket, click ‘Proceed to Checkout’ and then on the payment page click the ‘Finance Payment’ button. You’ll be asked to check your order total and confirm. You'll then be taken to the DEKO web site. This is where your finance application is processed. Assuming your application is accepted you'll be able to place your deposit and confirm your order right there. There are no forms to sign and send off! If your finance application is accepted and you pay the deposit, your order will come through to Football America UK and we'll send you the goods, normally despatched the very next day. 

N.B. As the last step of the deposit process you will be taken to your bank's website to verify the password you set for using your credit or debit card online. If your card is not registered in either the Verified by Visa or Mastercard Secure password schemes, you will not be able to place your deposit online. You can register your card to the schemes online with Mastercard or Visa.

Who are DEKO?

DEKO is an online finance gateway that links e-commerce retailers and finance companies. They make it easy for finance companies and retailers to work together to offer consumers great finance deals including "interest free credit" and "classic credit". DEKO works with reputable, established finance companies including Moneyway (part of Secure Trust Bank PLC) to offer secure and convenient online finance. How are my monthly payments paid?

All monthly payments are paid by direct debit from your personal bank account. Typically the first payment will be due one month after the date of the finance agreement and subsequent monthly payments will be due every month for the length of your term on that day of the month.

How do I apply for finance?

Simply click the "Apply for Finance" button on the payment stage of the checkout process. Then carefully read the agreement and related information. If you are happy to proceed, you can sign the agreement online and click a button to send it to the finance company for an instant decision. If you are approved we'll ask you to pay the deposit online using a credit or debit card. Upon receipt of your deposit payment, we'll authorise the order and dispatch it in the normal way.

How long does it take to apply online?

Our online application form typically takes less than 3 minutes to complete. Your application is instantly sent to the finance company and they will typically respond with their decision in around 10 seconds. Some applications may take longer to process.

I've been approved for finance and paid the deposit. What happens next?

We will check your application has been accepted and we will dispatch the goods in the normal way. The finance company will then write to you to confirm the repayment amounts and schedule.

Can I apply for finance over the phone or in person?

No, we only accept finance applications online

Why was I declined?

Unfortunately we are not given the reason why a customer is declined for finance. The authorisation process is carried out by the finance company and DEKO no Football America UK Ltd has no part in the decision. The decline message is sent to us by the lender with no explanation or justification. The reason for a decline is often that incorrect information has been entered in the finance application form. Please ensure you carefully enter all required information.

Will the finance company perform a credit check?

Yes. A credit check forms part of the automated decision making process and is part of a responsible lending policy.

What if I have bad credit?

The finance company uses an automated credit check as part of their decision making process. If you have an adverse credit record it may affect their decision. To give yourself the best chance of acceptance, please ensure you complete the credit application form correctly. Please don't apply for credit unless you're sure you will be able to comfortably repay it.

Do I need a bank account?

Yes. You must have a UK bank account capable of accepting Direct Debits.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes. If your finance application is accepted, you will be required to pay a deposit online, using a credit or debit card. The amount of the deposit is show in the finance summary (either 5 or 10%) and on the finance credit agreement itself.

How do I repay the finance?

Your monthly repayments are collected by direct debit.

Can I pay my finance off early?

You can settle the agreement at any time by paying off the amount you owe. You will need to get in touch with the finance provider to do this.

Can I get a refund/cancel for my finance order?

All purchases on finance can only be refunded in FULL if the whole order is returned, and received by Football America UK, within 10 days of purchase (DEKO has 14 day cooling off period). Once your order has arrived back at our warehouse we will cancel your finance agreement. You will receive an email from DEKO confirming the cancellation and the refund of your deposit.

Can I exchange a product on my finance order?

Yes, you can exchange product (of the same value or more), within 28 days (from the day of received/signed for) using our normal returns policy.

How much does the finance cost?

Nothing, its 0% interest so doesn't cost you a penny in APR.

Are there any other charges?

If you fail to pay any amount you owe under the Credit Agreement by the date it is due, the finance company may charge you interest on that amount until you pay it. They may also levy charges for:

- processing any payment made other than by direct debit, sending arrears letters, reminders or documents to which you are not entitled

- arrears telephone calls

- tracing you if you move address without notifying them

- cheques, standing orders or direct debits which are dishonoured, stopped or not paid by you

Is it safe to apply on line? Will my details be secure?

Yes. It is extremely safe to apply on-line. Your personal information is encrypted before transmission to ensure it cannot be viewed by any unauthorised third party. The DEKO finance gateway uses proven techniques to ensure the security and integrity of sensitive data. Our public web servers are certified by SSL's, ensuring that both the consumer and the retailer can have confidence that nobody can impersonate DEKO to obtain confidential information. Data storage on DEKO systems and the communication between DEKO and our partner lenders, is regularly audited to the highest standards to ensure a secure transaction environment. This includes specific regular third-party testing for vulnerabilities and reviews of application security and access control procedures.
