The Riddell Speedflex True Fit requires your head to be scanned and analyzed in-store using Riddell’s Verifyt scanning app. This creates a 3D image of your head which we then send to Riddell to have your Speedflex True Fit helmet custom made. The flexible shell concept Riddell introduced in 2014 is engineered and extended to surround the head with a combination of flex panels that interact and work together with the internal liners and face protection system to improve impact response.

SURROUND FLEX SYSTEM

Speedflex True Fit system uses Riddell’s Verifyt™ scanning app to capture a 3D image of an athlete’s head, cross reference that image with football’s largest head shape database, and then customize a factory-installed performance liner system of pads with thicknesses, shapes and contours to create a personalized fit for the athlete. No fitting foams. No air adjustments.

TRU-VIEW™ FRONTAL PROTECTION SYSTEM

The removal of the top bar of the traditional face mask provides additional flexing, more energy managing material and a better impact response. A panoramic elliptical face mask includes cast cage construction available in both stainless steel and titanium, and a unique shape and orientation that strengthens the face mask structure and provides a sweeping view of the field. A factory-installed optically correct visor gives athletes a clear field view with additional eye protection.

The new helmet system is the result of Riddell's commitment to improving athlete protection and performance – combining insights from millions of data points collected with Riddell's smart helmet technology. Feedback from players, coaches and equipment managers has helped create a comfortable and personalized helmet designed to improve impact response and reduce Head Impact Exposure (HIE). Speedflex True Fit includes a new fitting system, redesigned helmet shell platform with a new energy management system, reimagined frontal protection and integrated smart helmet technology.

3D Imaging Provides A Personalized Fit Using Riddell's Proprietary Fitting System

Riddell's Tru-Fit™ System utilizes Riddell's Verifyt™ scanning app to capture a three-dimensional image of an athlete's head. Our proprietary fitting algorithm analyzes the 3D images and generates an individualized combination of energy managing interior liner pads with unique thicknesses, shapes, and contours. These liner pads work together to create a personalized interior fit and protection system. Your individualized build configuration is calculated, stored, linked, and managed within Riddell's internal database.

New Design Increases Energy Management & Field of View While Using Less Hardware

Notably, the Speedflex True Fit features a Tru-View™ frontal protection system which removes the top bar of the traditional face mask to provide additional flexing, more energy managing material and a better impact response. The surround flex system, a combination of flex panels in the helmet shell that work together with the internal liners and face protection system, is designed to improve impact response. Speedflex True Fit is the first football helmet that will offer a standard, factory-installed, optically correct visor to give athletes a clear field view and full coverage eye protection.

Speedflex True Fit Cam-Loc Hard Cup Chin Strap

New for the season, the Riddell Hard Cup Chinstraps are specially designed for the helmet and employ the Cam-Loc system. The cam-loc quickly locks the helmet on to the players head to ensure a tight, proper fit every time the helmet is worn.
