In 2007 myself, with a group of former Leicester Panther players and their partners, organised a charity game between the Leicester Panthers “Old Boys” and the Loughborough University Aces.
This turned out to be one of the biggest British American Football games in over 10 years, with nearly 10,000 fans attending the “Matt Hampton Bowl” at the Leicester Tigers Stadium. The event raised over £40,000 for the Matt Hampson Trust and from this game, the idea of Football America UK was born and our business commenced.

We are now the official UK distributors for Riddell, Riddell Collectables, Rawlings, Xenith, Wilson Footballs, Pro Gear Pads, Rogers Training Equipment, Fisher Athletics, Passback Footballs and Champro products and more. This position gives us the largest range of products available in the UK. We also work with some of the biggest suppliers in the US to source the most favoured brands such as Nike, Under Armour and Adidas.

At Football America UK, we are committed to providing UK and European American Football teams and individuals, with the best service and products they desire, with experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand if required. We specialise in all forms of Football Equipment not just helmets and shoulder pads. We carry a vast range of cleats, gloves, power girdles, custom uniforms, wrist coaches, bicep bands, to name a few.

2015 saw our expansion into Official NFL Merchandise. We now supply great genuine products from various US and UK official suppliers, such as Nike, New Era Headwear, Majestic Apparel, Wincraft, Mitchell & Ness and Forever Collectibles. From replica jerseys to snack helmets for your NFL Party, we have a massive range available all year round.

Coaches and Team Buyers are more than welcome to come along and discuss their team requirements and pricing.

Team Merchandise is another area of expertise provided at our Markfield premises. We can supply a full range of personalised clothing such as hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, caps, coaches apparel all printed on site and delivered to your door. These items are also perfect for your supporters and team fundraising – no minimum order required.

Our online shop gives our British and European players, the opportunity to buy today and wear before their next practice session. Why wait for your kit to fly across the Atlantic, when you can get in 2-3 days or even next day in most of the UK.

Our History

Take a look through the year's of how Football America UK has become the UK's biggest American Football store!

2007

In 2007 our Director David Hagger helped organise The Matt Hampson Bowl. From this Football America UK was born, almost by accident!

2008

Our first year of trading, in the back of David's garage in Leicestershire. With a small eBay shop he got to work sourcing products from the USA.

2009

Quickly outgrowing his garage, David took on a small unit in Markfield. Official website sales now overtook eBay and we began to produce custom teamwear. 

2010

With demand increasing Football America became a team of 3 full time members of staff. Maggie on custom teamwear and John at front of shop and design.

2011

By 2011 our custom teamwear sites had reached 70 and we had began attending matches up and down the country with our travelling shop!

2012

Quickly outgrowing our 500sqf unit we decided it was time to move, not far though, about 10 units down to a 5000sqf building consisting of our brand new shop and warehouse.

2013

With turnover reaching £1million in 2013 it was time to get more hands on deck. David's wife Julia joined the daily running of the business along with Steve in accounts!

2014

In 2014 custom teamwear sites had reached over 130 and there were now 2 full time members of staff producing customised teamwear 5 days a week. We also began selling official NFL merchandise online and in store.

2015

The time had come that we had again outgrown our premises, so we expanded into the unit next door, creating over 10000sqf of American Football heaven!

2016

Football America was now a strong team of 10 full time members of staff with Jo joining us in dispatch and Colin being appointed warehouse manager.

2017

2017 came the transformation of team stores. Instead of having over 200 individual team websites, we combined them into a one stop shop, mycustomteamwear.co.uk!

2018
